It is Quilt Block Mania Time again and this month we are celebrating all things forest.
We missed this years Fat Bear week in October, but we can make it up for next year. What could be better than a whole quilt top of fat bears. Fat Bear week features Brown Bears from Katmai National Park in Alaska. All summer you can watch the bears feeding in the river and gaining weight. The bears that gain the most weight have the best chance of survival during the long winter hibernation. In october each year there is voting for people favorite fat bear. This years winner is Grazer. You can see how much weight he put on to survive through the winter.
